September 2026 belongs to Bharat.
On 12 and 13 September, the world comes to New Delhi. Leaders of eleven nations gather at Bharat Mandapam for the 18th BRICS Summit under a chairship that Prime Minister Modi has shaped around one clear vision: Humanity First. Half the world's population. A quarter of global GDP. And Bharat at the head of the table.
This did not happen by accident. It happened because a decade of deliberate, determined national effort transformed Bharat from a state that absorbed provocations into one that dictates the terms of engagement.
Ten years ago, on the intervening night of 28-29 September 2016, Bharatiya Special Forces crossed the Line of Control and struck terrorist launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. For the first time, Bharat acted and told the world so. That single act of political courage under Prime Minister Modi's leadership rewrote the rules. Cost-free provocation against Bharat was over. The adversary was on notice.
What followed was a decade of relentless national consolidation. Indigenous warships. Precision missiles. Empowered field commanders. Strategic partnerships built on Bharat's terms. And in May 2025, Operation Sindoor carried the doctrine to its logical conclusion, striking deep into Pakistani territory with precision, restraint, and complete strategic confidence. Of 193 nations, only three stood with Pakistan. The world had understood.
The Bharat that chairs BRICS in September 2026 is the Bharat that the surgical strikes began building. A Bharat that leads the Global South not as a supplicant but as a civilisational power reclaiming its rightful place. A Bharat whose voice in the international order carries the weight of capability, conviction, and demonstrated will.
The watchtower sees a nation fully awake, fully capable, and fully in command.
